The team from Marks and Spencer’s Stratford City branch got in touch to talk about how they could do a small group volunteering project for us, as part of the brand's sustainability initiative, Plan A.
Building Something Good
Thanks to the determination and passion of the store’s Plan A co-ordinator, Blanch, and her colleague, Emma, the idea grew to become a large-scale DIY project that transformed our premises. Four teams from the Stratford City store joined us, lending their handiwork to overhaul our reception area in just four days!
The teams got stuck in and worked tirelessly to transform our space, removing the kitchen to make room for some much-needed additional storage, and updating the office. On top of that, they also gave our car park and rear patio a deep-clean.
Sparking Joy with M&S and Philips
A partnership between M&S and Philips also saw us receive £2,500 in surplus Philips LED lighting, improving our energy efficiency and the quality of the lighting throughout the building. We now use 100% LED lighting throughout our premises.
We’re always so grateful to our corporate partners. The support we receive from organisations like Marks and Spencer enables us to continue doing what we do. From everyone here at Dress for Success Greater London, we want to say a huge thank you to Marks and Spencer, and to everyone at the Stratford City branch who took this renovation project to a whole new level!
