Client Information

Once Your Appointment is Booked

Your appointment will be booked by your referring organisation. Usually, this will be your work coach, case worker or the member of staff that spoke to you about being referred. If an appointment has been made and you can’t attend it, get in touch and we’ll reschedule it at a time that suits you.

You’ll receive a text message to confirm the day and time of your appointment, as well as our address. If you don’t receive this text message, please call us on 0203 773 7279. The day before your appointment, you’ll get a text message reminder.

If you can’t make your appointment, or if you don’t think that you need to see us anymore, that’s not a problem. We kindly ask that you call us as soon as you can, so that we can cancel your booking and offer the time slot to another client.

Please note, we always let the referring organisation know whether clients attended their appointment or not.

Preparing for Your Appointment

Plan Your Journey

Plan your journey in advance and leave plenty of time, so that you’re not running late. If you do end up running late, don’t worry: if you’re able to do so, please call us so that we know and can accommodate. Most of the time, we can still see you.

If you have a phone, make sure that it’s charged before you leave, so that you can call us if you get lost, or if you’re running late. If you need to, note down our contact information on a piece of paper and keep this to hand.

How to Make the Most of Your Session

If you have a CV available, it may be useful to print out a copy to bring with you. It’s also worth bringing along any details of the job that you’ll be interviewing for. It’s advisable to wear comfortable clothing that’s easy to change out of, too.

At your appointment

Once you arrive, you’ll be welcomed into our boutique by one of our volunteers or staff members. We’ll do everything we can to make sure that you’re comfortable and at ease. We’ll offer optional refreshments and give you a chance to sit down and settle in.

Our volunteers provide a holistic service. We welcome clients from all backgrounds and support women with a diverse range of experiences. We will never judge a client or their history; we are there to make sure each and every woman that visits our boutique is given the best opportunity to succeed.

Appointments may vary slightly depending on clients’ needs and circumstances.

If you’ve got a job interview coming up:

For the first part of your appointment, our stylists will work with you to select some interview-appropriate outfits that suit you, fit you, and match your style.

After this, one of our interview coaches will sit down to do some one-to-one interview training, giving you the opportunity to do a mock interview ahead of the real thing. You’ll leave fully equipped with tips and techniques that you can use in the interview.

If you’re starting work, a placement or similar:

Our stylists will work with you to hand pick a capsule wardrobe of work-appropriate outfits that you can wear during your first month of work.

After Your Session

At the end of the appointment, you’ll be asked for feedback. We encourage you to be as honest as possible about your experience, and welcome constructive comments that can help us to maintain an outstanding service.

Anything that you receive during the appointment is yours to keep. This may include shoes, accessories and unused cosmetics.

We’ll be in touch not long after your job interview to find out how it went. At this stage, we may offer additional support, depending on your specific needs.
