THE FASHION RUN 2020

We are proud to announce that we are part of The Fashion Run!

The inaugural Fashion Run is the brainchild of popular culture expert and charity campaigner Nick Ede. Supporting the British Fashion Council Foundation it takes place between Friday 18th and Tuesday the 22nd of September, London Fashion Week.

Anyone who loves the fashion world, from designers, brands, make-up artists, influencers, hair stylists, models, stylists and fashion lovers everywhere will be encouraged to take part in the 5K run. Funds raised by the participants will be used to support the UK fashion industry via the British Fashion Council Foundation. Runners will then have the option to select one other charity to support from their sponsor donations; the list of charities chosen for this year’s race are: MTV Staying Alive, Mermaids, Wild At Heart Foundation, Chickenshed Theatre, Rays Of Sunshine, AKT, Diana Award, Dress For Success, Great Ormond Street and The Stroke Association

The event promises to be the Coachella of running. A place for fierce competition and even fiercer style to run hand in hand. Runners can choose to run the full distance in one go or break it up over the space of the five days; whatever your shape, size, age, or ability the Fashion Run is for you. Of course, stylish sportswear, make-up and glammed up hair will be required… and should participants decide to go for a full fashion look with their outfits, then even better. Front row looks will be expected on the virtual finish line this season.

Tapping into a global trend for running, sports-luxe fashion and the outdoor fitness boom we have seen as a result of the lockdown, the event provides a perfect opportunity for fashionistas to engage in a bit of fitness led philanthropy, supporting the industry they love.

How to get involved?

Anyone wanting to get involved can go to https://raceroster.com/events/2020/32710/the-fashion-run-2020 to register from September 1st 2020.

Participants can then select a charity of their choice as the second benefiting charity.

What you have to do:

1. Sign up and register.

2. Commit to running 5K between the 18th and the 22nd of September.

3. Support one of the 10 charities nominated by getting your friends and family to donate.

4. Get your glam on.... make a Reel, an IGTV or simply take a selfie and tag @thefashionrun #FashionRun2020 on Instagram and tell the world.

The Fashion Run offers a new, one-of-a-kind experience where fashion and fitness collide. All runners will be encouraged to shout about their training days, donation goals, outfit choices and finish line victory on social media. Use @FashionRun and #FashionRun2020 to share your stories.

Caroline Rush CBE, Chief Executive of the British Fashion Council said “The Fashion Run creates something positive, proactive and fun and is designed to give back to the industry. Funds raised will be used to support brands and fashion talent all over the country. It is something we should all get involved with and I can’t wait to celebrate fitness, fashion and fundraising in a year that has been difficult and challenging for all of us.”

Nick Ede, founder of the Fashion Run also commented “I designed the Fashion Run to help inject a dose of positivity into 2020. We’re so happy to be partnering with Caroline Rush and the British Fashion Council on the first ever Fashion Run. We hope to see all of you out, looking fabulous and taking part to support a great cause… and perhaps get a little fitter in the process. Charities up and down the country have been effected by Covid 19 and if the Fashion Run can help people then let it’s all about the three f’s Fashion, Fitness and Fundraising.”

Harold Tillman CBE, Chairman of the Ethical Fashion Group said “I love that Nick has seen a niche in the market to create an engaging event that celebrates individual style and the fashion industry as a whole. His choice of charities is diverse and compelling, and I know will make a huge difference. I also like how this event will create zero waste and the limited-edition tee that is being produced to celebrate the event is ethically sourced in the UK, printed to order with non-toxic inks and no wastage.
