Novel Coronavirus Update

Suspension of Services from 16 March

URGENT UPDATE REGARDING CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)

Due to the escalation of coronavirus, Dress for Success a Greater London has decided to cease all operations from 16th March for an initial period of two weeks. This is to safeguard our clients, staff, volunteers and our referral organisations. Further updates will be available after this period.

We do apologise for the inconvenience this may cause but wish all our stakeholders health and safety in this period. Any correspondence should be sent to info@dressforsuccessgl.org or by contacting 0203 773 7279 where staff will answer any queries you may have.

We have been closely monitoring developments regarding the global spread of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and are writing to give information as to the actions being taken with regard to this.

Effective from Monday 16 March we will be suspending services as a precautionary measure to protect our wider community from unnecessary travel associated with attending appointments and volunteer sessions.

While of course it is regrettable that we are unable to serve our clients during this time, this decision has been reached as being in the better interests of all involved.

Our team will be taking every effort to continue to respond to email and telephone enquiries as usual, and ask that you regularly check our website and social media channels for further updates.

Please take note of the following guidance as applicable:

If you have an appointment scheduled within the next few weeks:

  • Your appointment will not be going ahead as planned and you should not travel to us.

  • A member of our team will be in contact with you to give further information and reschedule your appointment.

  • You do not have to be re-referred to us and can contact us directly.

  • If you have a job interview in the next few weeks, you are strongly advised to contact the prospective employer and ask to reschedule or arrange for a telephone interview in its place.

If you would like to refer a client to us:

  • You will be able to do so in the usual way however there will be no appointment availability shown in the coming weeks.

  • You should choose an appointment slot in order to complete your referral.

  • Once services resume, we will contact your client in order to move their appointment forward.

If you are scheduled to volunteer with us:

  • Your volunteer session will not be going ahead as planned and you should not travel to us.

  • We will be in contact by email with guidance and additional information relating to this.

  • You should ignore any automated volunteer booking emails until you receive confirmation of when we are to re-open.

  • If you have booked to volunteer with us through the Benefacto service, we will be working with  Benefacto to prioritise affected volunteers for opportunities once we re-open.

If you are intending to send clothing donations to us:

  • We would like to thank you for your generosity and support, and kindly request that you delay in sending these until such time as we re-open, when we will be happy to accept them.

  • We kindly request that you delay in sending these until such time as we re-open.

  • We are unable to guarantee that our physical locations will be able to accept deliveries and so would advise against adding additional strain on delivery services during this period.

  • Further information will be posted on our website and social media channels when it becomes available.

For any other enquiries please contact us in the usual way and we will endeavour to respond.

We would like to take this opportunity to send our best wishes to our wider community of clients, volunteers and supporters, trustees and staff, and advise that you take measures to protect yourself, friends and families during this time. You are advised to check NHS, Government and World Health Organization guidance relating to the virus and take measures to protect yourself and others.
